Eyetracking study of Google
A fascinating look at how people interact with the Google interface. The eyetracking study from Enquiro clearly shows sweet spots in the upper left (the top sponsored links and natural search results) and a bit in the upper right, where sponsored links are located.
This study puts even more emphasis on the importance of ranking as high as possible in natural search results.
